Having consulted with the regional representatives and looked at the current Tier 2 and 3 restrictions in operation, I have decided to defer the Champions Final currently scheduled for 14th/15th November until the new year. I understand that this is a further disappointment for those that have qualified but many people are simply unable to attend and therefore we will look to hold this in early 2021.

2021 DATES
Looking ahead, I would like to share the current draft timetable for 2021. I stress this is draft at the moment as we will coordinate with other MGA shows proactively, accommodate the key shows we were unable to run in 2020 (eg Home Internationals) but this way at least we can share the current thinking and placeholders. These dates will be discussed and confirmed shortly at the next MGA GB Committee meeting. Work continues to secure the best venues for all.

The focus for the past couple of weeks has been to make the immediate decisions needed in terms of the final shows of 2020 and to work through the various outstanding tasks given the recent changes within MGA GB. There is still plenty to do including confirming League placings, annual award winners etc

However, I think it is also important to look forward. I have already reached out to a number of people within MGA to get their views on how to improve the future and I would like to thank those that have done that proactively. I want though to go further, in addition to discussions already had with the general committee, STRUK and others, I would like to offer everyone the opportunity to give their view. MGA GB prospers when it has a vibrant engaged membership. More of how we will do this to follow in the coming weeks as we build the plans for MGA GB 2021.

Stay safe
