We are pleased to announce that Jo Gubb has accepted the position of MGAGB Safeguarding Officer with immediate effect. Jo is eminently qualified for the position as can be seen in the resume following.

We are delighted to welcome Jo and also to pass on grateful thanks to Sophie Morris who has done such excellent work in the position.

Jo has been involved with MGA for 6 years now starting in Mini Minis and now has her daughter riding in Under 12’s & her son just going up into Under 14’s for Central Warwickshire. MGA has given her children the chance to forge new friendships whilst enjoying competitions with their ponies and after riding having the freedom to socialise with children from all over the country.

Jo is also the Team Manager for Enfield Chace Mounted Games PC team.
Jo has been working for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club for the last few few years, working with their Development Squad whose ages range from 16-23yrs of age. This involves copious amounts of safe guarding training as required by the club itself and the FA.

Jo currently has 2 professional footballers living with them as a family who are also current England & Wales internationals.

Safeguarding has never been so prevalent as it is now. It is essential that an organisation as large as MGA is seen to be protecting both its riding members, trainers, selectors & parents & all other members.
Since the introduction of social media & the ability to use this type of platform via mobile phones, online bullying and grooming is at an all-time high.

Jo’s mobile number is 07956 588275 if anyone has any safeguarding concerns.
