It is with great sadness that we have heard the news of the passing of Liz Draper.
Liz was a member of MGAGB from the early days of the foundation of the Association and her two children, Julia and Richard were members of Devon MGA.
She became County Representative for Devon and was responsible for the development of teams in the South West of England.
Liz was a kind, happy, generous lady with a great personality. When Devon MGA folded she transferred her allegiances to Kent MGA as her son, Richard was a member of the Kent team for many years.
She trained the successful Great Britain team who won the World Team Championships in Sweden in 1996. Her son, Richard, was on the team as was Elaine Trevor Jones at her first World Team Championships.
Liz continued to support MGA after Richard gave up riding and was a close friend of Marilyn Hackman, the IMGA President. She always attended the Southern Championships with Marilyn but, sadly, this year, was not well enough to be there.
Sincere sympathy goes to Richard, Julia and the grandchildren.
Details for the funeral will be posted when they are known.
